Services and Pricing

Therapy

I offer evidence-based psychological therapy (also called 'psychotherapy' or sometimes 'counseling') for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Panic Disorder, and Insomnia for adults (18+) and older adolescents (16-17).

Therapy typically involves one session per week that is 45 to 50-minutes long. Sometimes clients may benefit from longer (75 to 80 minutes) or more frequent (twice per week) sessions. We will only meet for longer or more frequent sessions if we both agree it is necessary. If a client has been in therapy and has made progress, we may decide to have briefer (25 to 30 minutes) sessions.

The first one or two sessions of therapy are sessions where I gather information about your problems or issues to make sure that I can provide you with the appropriate treatment. Therapy can last anywhere from 3 months to over a year depending on the problems or issues, how severe they are, and how long they have been going on.

Payment Options and Information

I offer a number of payment options for clients including major credit cards and cash. I will also accept local personal checks for a $10 added charge per session.

Please note that I do not take any type of insurance. However, I can provide you with a bill that you can submit to your insurance provider. Please note that it is unlikely that your insurance will reimburse you for the full cost of a session. Rather, they will likely treat me as an 'out of network' provider and reimburse you a percentage based on their rates. So, your insurance company might reimburse you $50 (or less) for a $155 session. Please check with your insurance company if you plan to submit a bill to them to be reimbursed. Please note that all session costs are your responsibility.

If you have concerns about affording my services, I suggest you contact the Psychological Services Center at Oklahoma State University. They are a training clinic staffed by supervised clinical psychology graduate students. They provide many of the same evidence-based services that I provide and operate on a sliding scale based on your income.
